The Vietnam Relief Effort

Chinh E. Chu, along with his sister in 1999 formed The Vietnam Relief Effort, a non-profit organization which is dedicated to giving back to Vietnam and some of its poorest citizens. Ha Phuong is very active in the great work done by this charity. The charity funds the construction of schools and footbridges across rivers in rural communities as well as subsidized surgeries for the disabled for war veterans. Another of The Viet Nam Relief Effort’s primary missions is bringing Vietnamese doctors to the U.S. for training. Ha Phuong and her husband regularly return to Vietnam to personally deliver funds and supplies to deserving recipients. Everywhere you look, Ha Phuong is leaving her mark. Last year she added “top donor to UNICEF” to her list of good works.
